    An Unexpected Connection. (AsherJaydenXFaithWynters)

Post by Faith Wynters on Thu May 31, 2012 12:59 pm

You are living the life that you've always hoped to live and you have it all planned out down to the finest of details. You are the assistant production manager for one of the most popular advertising companies in the world, have a beautiful apartment in downtown New York, and are engaged to who you believe to be the perfect man. You're a control freak and as is typical for someone with an uptight nature like yourself you have everything completely under your thumb. There is nothing you can't handle except for one thing... him. He's the head of advertising at your work and you can't stand him. He's arrogant, crude and completely self-involved. He's a notorious playboy and a much sought after advertising manager in the corporate world. His methods for gaining public attention are flashy, inappropriate and more than a little unorthodox. But, much to your dismay, completely and totally effective. He's taken your wholesome approach and turned it into something you can't stand. Over the past six months of working with him you've found a way to avoid him as best as you can, though you are forced to interact with him in overseeing the completion of projects and accompanying him to production meetings. Unfortunately you are about to be in much closer proximity to him than you would ever like.

You've been trying to convince your fiancé to move in together for months but he's even more neurotic than you are and worse than that, he's extremely self-centered. Though, he meets all your required points on your checklist for the perfect man and you have a schedule for your life to adhere to so you stay with him, insisting that you're in love with him. Well, it would have been nice if you'd already moved in with him since due to faulty wiring in your apartment, your entire floors went up in flames. Your fiancé is out of town for a conference in San Diego for dentists, which is your fiancée’s profession, and so you are looking for a place to stay. The only one, however, who is actually willing to take you in is the very man that you hate. Reluctantly, you take his offer simply because you have nowhere else to go. It would seem to you as if you're walking into your own personal Hell, after all the two of you are polar opposites. So how will you take this week of staying with him? Will the two of you find a common ground, a friendship or maybe something more?

Start: The day you move in.

    Beginning outfit: Click Here

“Okay, how about…A Shakespearian theme? Beautiful woman, elegant dresses. A man beneath her looking up to her, begging her with his eyes. She won’t come down to see him. She refuses, until…he sprays the cologne on himself?” The voice rings through Mira’s office. She look the poor intern over. She still didn’t get what the people wanted. It was okay though, she would learn. In time, she would see that it wasn’t all about that far back in history. No-People wanted vintage people wanted something they didn’t see every day. An Italian grandmother making the best damn spaghetti you ever saw for a Tomato sauce advertisement. They wanted to see they could be trusted. They wanted to see that the company wasn’t out for their money (even if they were) and they were out to give them what’s in their best interest. They wanted to trust ol’ Grandma, not watch the imminent death of two teenagers because of the product we were advertising. Mira shakes her head, pulling her heels off the desk. She would learn in time. She just had to know how to put her down easy. She would have to think over the idea for a little bit.

“Maybe no Shakespearian themed…You’re getting an outline, a basis. You always have to start somewhere. That’s good Kathrine” Mira nods to the girl, looking over to the clock. There was less than a half an hour before the two women could leave the office. Mira sighs quietly, arranging some of the things on her desk. It always had to be neat, or there was going to be a problem.

Really, she wasn’t just trying to keep her desk clean. No, she was trying to keep her mind off other things; namely him. There was so much that Mira had to worry about, but it didn’t matter. He was the only thing that was worrying her now. Not the fact that her apartment had just burned to the ground, but the worry of being in a living area with him. She had no choice though. As unprofessional as it was for her, she had no other options. For some reason, Darien did not have a problem with his soon-to-be- rooming with another man. Maybe it was the security he held about him. He had no self-doubt, not an ounce of low self-esteem. He was confident. That’s one of the things that Mira found so interesting about him. Yes she showed confidence, but he was like an impenetrable wall of icy confidence. That was something she was not.

Lost in her own thoughts about so many things, she doesn’t know the younger girl staring at her. Only her words break the uneven silence.

“You still worried, Mira?” The college student across the desk questions her elder quietly. The two had grown quite close since she started working here together. Kathrine was more of a friend then she was anyone lower than her. They often went out on Fridays when Damien was away and had a few drinks together, just to unwind. She was the one to confide in if Mira was worried, so she let the wall fall for a bit. She bit her lip, nodding silently to the girl. Everything had been perfect with life, until…this little bump in the road. Mira had to keep telling herself that or she might fall into a depression or something. It wasn’t like it had happened before, but it was always possible.

“She’s a hard working woman. He’s just some scruffy artist. The woman doesn’t look at him as she passes him by, but he sees her. The next day, she comes back through on her commune to work. The same scruffy man is there, but this time, he’s thought ahead. We flash the label as he sprays himself happily, and boom, she talks to him…” I stop speaking after a moment before looking to the girl, her eyes wide. “It’s not perfect. Nothing’s perfect. I want you to think it over and see how you can make it better.” Mira was simply branching off of Kathrine’s idea. There was no reason to shoot it down completely. That would bash her spirits and that was never a good thing in this world when you were starting out. So, instead of giving her that advice now, Mira will wait, until the time it right, and the girl gets the most out of this. She smiles at Mira, forcing herself out of the chair.

    “Sure thing, Miss. La’Mar.”
She pulls her books into her hand, winking quietly at the woman behind the desk. The girl loved to work. She turns, starting to the door.

    “Oh, and Mira?”
She’s already pressing on the bridge of her nose as Katherine turns back to her. She looks up to her, letting her hand fall from her face. Kathrine grins quietly.

“He’s just eye candy, don’t worry about it”
That’s all the girl says before turning and escaping out into the offices, leaving Mira in the silence of her thoughts.
“Thanks, Katherine…” She mutters quietly a small chuckle escaping her lips as she turns around, looking to the large city below her.

“Why can’t you just accept that she wants what’s best for you?” was one of the most commons ways the conversation between Nikolas and his oldest brother went; constantly arguing about the love and the better of his youngest brother by his mother that John Thomas always tried to get across to Nikolas. It was the routine bickering that kept them so close all these years. The frequently spoke, more than Nikolas did with his other siblings. All four siblings kept in touch very often but Nikolas had a closer relationship with John.

“Why can’t she just accept that I’m never going to be a heart surgeon or a Foreign Affairs Ambassador?” Nikolas always made it known that he was picked on by his mother whenever speaking to his family. The others didn’t notice it, but of course not, they were praised by their mother and father. How, and why, are they going to bother noticing that their youngest brother doesn’t get as much ‘love’ as they do then they’re too busy getting mommy’s love. Nik resented his siblings because of that. It’s not that he didn’t love his family; he was just tired of being the useless runt.

Nikolas was always the creative one in the family, if not the only. He would think of imaginative and wild things that most can never dream of thinking of. He had no time for logic in his life. Nik was all about the paintings, the music, and the poetry. He didn’t care for equations, and formulas. He had no interest in government or politics. He was all about the unimaginable. He didn’t have a care in the world because he didn’t have to sit in a cubicle all day or he didn’t have worry about whether or not his patient would make it, all he had to do was make something known to the world using his imagination, his creativity; and that’s all he lived for.

“I don’t know what to tell you then Niky,” his brother smacked him back into the conversation, “I try to tell you she cares but you don’t get it.”

“Don't tell me I don't get it. The problem isn’t me, JT,” he would reply like he usually does, “it’s you guys. You refuse to believe that what I do is a profession. Just because I’m not cutting someone open, or because I’m on TV, doesn’t mean that I’m not doing something with my life. I just wish you guys would realize that. I’m sick and tired of Mom always telling me that what I do isn’t ‘good enough’.” Nikolas sighed and pushed a hand through his brown locks. He wanted to tear his hair out but that wouldn’t help anything. It would just be another excuse for his mother to pick on him, ‘why isn’t your hair neat like RJs?' God, how he despised being compared to them.

As Nikolas hung up the phone with his brother he saw Mira’s intern leaving for the day. “Did you guys get anything accomplished?” He sighed. Why is it that whenever that girl was here nothing ever got done? As if she’s some type of work repellent. However, Nikolas did have a little crush on her, and by crush he wanted to get her under his covers.

Mira watches as the door hangs open. Kathrine never actually closed the door when she left. As many times as Mira told her to, it never happened. Little things like that about Katherine annoyed her. The girl would work her heart out, but when it was remembering instructions, she was the last one to figure it out. It didn’t matter though. Really, Mira could handle the door being ajar for the little bit longer. It was only five minutes more.

Mira looks down to her heels a moment before rising from her chair. She hears her boss, and her new housemate talking to someone. She can’t hear what he’s saying, but apparently he’s stopped Katherine, because she responds with a quiet sigh and a giggle.

“Actually, we’ve done a lot. Miss. La’Mar has me on quite the idea scheme tonight”
Mira can hear the grin in her words and groans quietly. Of course the girl was going to dig her into the hole. To be completely honest, she wasn’t sure what more she could do when the girl she worked with liked to talk about the men she met and the many parties she had been to in the Underground of New York. It didn’t matter. Even if Katherine did work, she was smart, and could come up with ideas at the drop of a hat. Whether they were new or not was the problem.

Whilst Mira would give her a job, she would work on other things. That way, if it ever came up that there was a meeting out of the blue, to talk about what they had worked on, Mira had something to bring up.

Mira knew the consequences if she did bring something. One day, you could be at the top of your game, and the next, you could just be another unemployed person, looking for a house that didn’t cost so much. For that, Mira was ready.

Mira takes the time to pull herself around her desk. She would have to work when she got home…Well, what would be the closest thing to home until Darien got home. That stung a little bit in her heart. Her home was gone. She didn’t have one anymore. A deep breath fills Mira’s lungs before she looks down to the ring on her finger. Not too much longer and she would be able to move in with him, and she wouldn’t have to worry about all of these homeless problems.

She silently pushes the thoughts out of her head. It would be better if she just stopped thinking about it. Then, if she was lucky, it wouldn’t bother her so much. She walks around her desk, reaching to grab her shoulder bag filled with papers and sketches of different magazine adverts. Her company owned several other smaller companies. So, all advertising came through this building. There was always something to be working on.

So, once she has her papers, keys, and other assorted items, she straightens herself up. She was confident, yes. Not only of her looks, but her intelligence too. She walks herself out of the office to see Katherine still standing there, looking at the half-open door of the man next door. Mira stops, wanting to know what he has to say. Will he dare? She’s one of the best in the building, but always did he try to find flaws in her work, or change it completely. He had done that many times before. Taken her work to the board and changed it from something wholesome, to something on the line of Mature Material because apparently, it was artistic. She has to keep her eyes from rolling. He was the only person keeping her from sleeping in her car. She would have to be gracious, or end up being homeless for awhile.

Practically fondling the heart of the young college girl, Nikolas eases her into his devious grasp. He lures her with his darn chocolate eyes that hold specks of orange that can entrance almost anyone. Nik managed to get it out of her what the next project was. He smirked her, caressing her chin and cheek, as she melted in his hand like putty. “Piece of cake,” he grinned under his breath.

Nikolas had that affect on people, not just women. He was able to manipulate people. He could say just about anything and have people bowing at his feet or melting in his hands. It wasn’t that he’d lie, of course not; Nikolas was brought up a very honest man. He just knew how to use other people’s weaknesses to get what he wanted. But he didn’t blackmail, never. He just simply used what he knew about them, their past and their personality to ease them into whatever lure it was he wanted them to fall for. It was easy for him too. The good looks helped.

As Mira stepped out of the office, Nikolas began to shoo away the intern. “Well, run along Sara. You need not be out so late.” He smiled innocently at Mira, who of course would know he was up to no good. He knew that Sara wasn’t the name of the intern, but he didn’t quite care nor did he want to go through the effort of learning the girls name, ‘the intern’ would work just fine for him.

“Hello Mira,” he turned to her after the intern had gone, “so I heard about your new project. I was thinking though,” and so it began. Most of the conversations between Mira and Nikolas were about how he could make something of hers better. “Instead of him just showing up with cologne on and she talks to him out of the blue, how about we have her notice him because a whole bunch of women are crowded around him and she wants a piece too. After all, women want what they can’t have,” Nikolas teased.

In the midst of Mira talking, Nikolas butts in, as he always does, “just out of curiosity, am I taking you home? Or do you have a car?” He shrugged. He didn’t care much about the lives of others. He just assumed because Mira was ‘homeless’ now, that she’d have absolutely nothing… But then again… what does she have?

The conversation ahead was not something she was looking forward to. As much as she wanted to just leave the same way she had many days before this one, Mira knew that this one conversation would be unavoidable.

It didn’t take her long to see the young woman being swooned by a man that was at least four years older than she was. It didn’t seem to matter what her age was. The smile on his face, one of satisfaction, was something Mira had seen often. Actually, he had been swooning her intern like this for some time, always trying to get the upper hand on her projects.

The man’s words met her ears. If he was going to take advantage of a young woman like that, he could have at least learned her name. She would remember to point that out later, but she knew what was coming. Mira clenches her jaw, more out of self-control than anything. Every week it seems that he’s used this girl to find things out about her projects, well not this time. She had the upper hand. She had finally learned from her mistakes.

“I would like to point out to you, that her name is Katherine, not Sara. Secondly, Nikolas, as you may know, the company has more than one client. Hundreds of products go through our offices each day. The one that Kathrine is working on, is the one that she will be presenting to her class, and to my—“ Mira is stopped abruptly, looking at the man. He was definitely ill-mannered. That was an understatement for what he was. She clenches her teeth once more, only for a moment before shaking her head slowly.

“I have a car, thank you though”
She has to keep her words away from him. If she offends him too quickly, she might be out in her car, sleeping the nights away. Maybe a week of sleeping in her car and showering at Katherine’s was worth it, if it would get her away from this man. It was bad enough that his office was so close, but now, she was forced to live with him too? “Speaking of, I think I should be getting to that. So, if you will excuse me, I’ll be heading out now.” Her words have slowed, but they’ve grown none the more calmer. She won’t stand down against this boorish man. She can handle it. Life was just throwing her another curve ball.

“Righty-O!” He answered before walking off in the opposite direction to his luxury Audi Getting in the car, he pushed his head back to the cool of the leather. He thought back on the conversation he had with his brother just a few minutes earlier. Why in the world did they not get it? Was it all in his head? No, it couldn’t be. His grandfather had mentioned something before but all his father said was, “Dad, don’t be silly. I’m not treating anyone different. I’m just trying to give my kids a little piece advice for the road.” His grandfather laughed at that, “I didn’t know the definition of advice was to push your kid into something they didn’t want to do.” Nikolas’ grandfather always fought for him, but his father never understood what the point was if there was nothing wrong with the picture.

Nikolas ignited the engine and pulled down the top to the car. He loved riding his car with the top down. His face in the wind, the breeze in his hair, it makes him forget the worries of the world and be a whole new person. A person who doesn’t have to worry about whether or not his parents love him, or where he’ll have to put his co-worker to sleep since there’s no guest room.

“Shit!” He muttered to himself as he realized what had just happened. “There’s no guest room,” Nik sighed. He began to worry about the world, at the next stop, he put the top up. He couldn’t stand the wind when he was upset. He began contemplating where she could sleep. He could put her in his bed, but that’d be a little weird. The couch? But that’d be like saying, I don’t want you here. But he didn’t so who cares? He tried to tell him he’d worry about it when he got home, but he didn’t. He worried about it all the way home.

The ride home wasn’t exactly known by Mira. Loosely, she could get herself there, and she knew what it looked like well enough. The man had shown her pictures, boasting about its luxury. She didn’t understand why though. He only made a little more money than she did, and her things were just as nice….besides the wiring in her apartment. So what if he had a home in a more expensive apartment building? It didn’t matter to her. It was a place to sleep and a shower. That’s all she needed this for.

She did want to get out of there though; away from his mocking words and the attitude of a hornet. The man speaks as she turns away, and Mira has to clench her jaw, for risk of saying something she probably should being saying to him anyway. If it came down to the wire though, she would probably end up saying something all-too harsh to this man. She just has to keep her head high, the day would get better, she knew it would.

For the time being, Mira made it out to her car. Her White Corvette sat in the parking lot, waiting for her. The top could be let down, and today it would be let down. She liked it like that anyway. Even though this probably didn’t seem like the car for Mira, she enjoyed it fully. After all, when you Fiancé gives you an engagement present like this, what girl couldn’t be thrilled? It was a surprise that he had bought her such things. Maybe he was tired of the car she drove? Maybe it didn’t fit the lifestyle that he wanted her to have. Not much was known about the way this man thought, even to Mira. It was an alluring quality about it; just sometimes it was a little annoying. He assured her, however, that he had his reasoning’s. So, she just let it simmer down, until nothing more was spoke of it.

So, when she makes it out to her car, it’s not a surprise that she cranks it, eases down the top (like it is whenever she even around it) and get in. It was nice to finally be off work. She slides her bag into the passenger seat. The back seat is littered with three suitcases, which were in Darien’s apartment and the only clothes that didn’t burn with her apartment. She didn’t understand why he didn’t want her in the apartment, but she went, just once, to get her things. Any more moving things around, and he would notice and probably give her that icy cold stare he gave people when he was angry.

Mira shakes her head, forcing the image out of her mind. The trunk was filled with newly-bought items that were needed that weren’t at the apartment. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, more clothes, and things of the like, were all in bags, where they could be moved inside.

There were so many bags, she wasn’t sure how she was going to do it. She pondered the question as she drove in the direction that she knew was his home. She could only take one bag in, or she could take everything. If she took everything, she would feel like this was long term. Everything she had bought was needed for a week though. One of the suitcases were filled with heels; the others with tops, shirts, and skirts. She would probably end up lugging everything in. The suitcases weren’t large, just small ones, so three shouldn’t seem like a lot. She wasn’t going to feel like she was moving in with this man. She just wasn’t.

So, after about five minutes of having to concentrate on her driving to find the place, she does, parking in a spot in the parking garage. She wasn’t sure if there was a system to this or not; she really hoped not. She sits there with the quiet humming of the car in her ears. Did she really want to do this? Did she want to stay with this man until her own fiancé got home? She wouldn’t feel like she was cheating, but it would sure feel wrong. As much as Darien did not care, she did. She cared what men she was spending her nights with. She cared if she slept in a bed that wasn’t her own. She felt like a bum, and that is why she cared.

She thought about just taking her things, and driving off. Not long did she, because the fact that she would be sleeping out on the streets of New York was a very strong factor in her case. She sighs quietly, pushing a small button as the top unlocks from its locked position, and begins making its way up over her head. While that happened, she got her purse, and opened the door, keys in hand. Pulling the over-shoulder bag over her head, she locks the car, turning and walking toward the building entrance, her heels making loud ‘click’ing sounds on the concrete.

As much as Nikolas loved being in his own home with women, this woman was not one of them. To be quite honest, he doesn’t quite know why he offered his apartment to her. But just then, it hits him. Those beautiful, long legs of hers that never seem to end, those pale green eyes that draw him in, and that attitude, God only knew Nikolas liked himself a feisty woman.

Of course it doesn’t seem reasonable. Nikolas only taunts and irritates the woman, and on purpose, why on earth would he be attracted to her? But that’s just it. It’s because he’s attracted to her that he keeps picking on her. He would never admit it though. God forbid anyone found out that he had feelings, let alone for a co-worker.

Nik parked his car in the lot and hit the lock button twice as she walked towards the elevator. He had no idea where Mila was but he didn’t care too much, or at least he tried not to. He hit the button for his floor, number 6, which just so happened to be the top floor. He was lucky because he never had to worry about kids running above his head. Although he has gotten noise complaints from when he brings ‘people’ over, for that, he had sound proof floors installed. It was difficult to find, but Nikolas knows a guy. Nik always knew a guy.

He got off the elevator when it reached the top, opening its doors to a small foyer right outside his living room. He unlocked the door and walked in, leaving it slightly open for Mira. He went directly into his room and changed out of his work clothes and into something a little more comfortable, a pair of sweatpants and a black tank top.

It was getting a little late and Nik was getting a little hungry and thirsty for a nice glass of gin. He decided he’d start making dinner while he waited for his new roommate to arrive. He poured himself a glass of liquor and began working in the kitchen.

The color red was definitely Mira’s color. Hell, every color seemed to fit her. The red heels that tapped hastily on the ground made her think of the color. It was more of the afterthoughts she had that made her so quick on her feet. She didn’t want to make two trips. She had made it to the door before realizing that the lazy part of her didn’t want to make the two trips (and in heel too) just to get stupid suitcases. So, she turned, making her way back to the car, her eyes watching her feet to make sure she didn’t land in a crack. The pale of her feet contrasting with the red seemed to just be right.

She makes it back to the car quickly, knowing that if she wasn’t in quick pursuit of the man, he might lock her out and forget about it. He was, after all, used to living along…Well…She hoped that he was used to living alone. Now that she thought about it, she really didn’t know this man very well. Yes, she knew that she hated him, but other than that, all information on him would be news to her. If he had a wife, then he didn’t wear his ring at work, but by the way he seems to fondle any new interns in the office, Mira highly doubts that he has any wife unless she is completely oblivious to her husband. She takes in a deep breath, and she shakes her head. What had she gotten into with this?

The trunk slams quickly. One bag wraps around her shoulder, while one is in her hands. This is the last bit of Mira’s belongings that she really owned. She wasn’t taking great care of them at the moment. One was hanging by the straps onto the roller that was following behind her. If the straps ripped, that would be another bag she would be out of. She didn’t want to have to worry about the damn straps right now.

Somehow, the elevator is closer than it really seemed to her. She’s inside, riding it up silently to the top floor in an instant. She’s thankful for that. She doesn’t have to worry about walking very much farther with her bags. Soon, Mira is lightly knocking on the door, only to find that it’s still open slightly. She only assumes that it’s for her, and pushes it open with her free hand. Her eyes meet just what the pictures described, and the smell of food wafts through the air. For a while, Mira just stands in front of the door, looking around. She’s not exactly sure what to do with her bags, and simply sets them down, on the ground next to her.
“Hello?” I quiet call pushes itself from her lips as she takes a few steps forward. How awkward would it be if this wasn’t the right apartment (even if that was completely impossible) and she was met with the sight of a complete stranger.

Putting the oddest combinations of food together, Nik created a delicious dish for the both of them. The lovely smell of food filled the apartment. Nik didn't usually cook, but when he did, you best believe it was the best damn meal you've ever ate in your life. Cooking was once one of Niks past times, that is if he wasn't out jogging, in the gym, or clubbing. He would spend hours in the kitchen, creating new dishes, trying new ingredients with old dishes. He would never admit it, but it was one of the few things he really had a passion for.

From the kitchen, Nikolas could hear the small and thin squeak of the door being opened. He looked up from his creation and saw his new roommate standing in the door way. "Hey there, roomie." He stopped what he was doing and wiped his hands on a dish cloth before going over to her and picking up her bags. He carried them to his room and set them in the corner, by the closet. He still had no idea what the ordeal was with the sleeping situation but he was leaving that to be settled after dinner... maybe.

He would most likely be giving her his room to sleep in. After all, he wouldn't be home for the night. After dinner he would nap on the couch for an hour or so. He'd wake up around 9, he'd shower then he'd call his best friends Jeff and Derrick to hit the clubs with him. It was his usual weekend routine. And if Nik didn't call either Jeff or Derrick, if not both, one or the other, again if not both, would show up at his door and see what the hell is the matter.

"So how was the drive over here?" Not that Nik cared or anything, but who else wants to be in an awkward silence with their new roommate for the first night, not him.

A stranger did not show itself at the door. No—the smell of food wafted its way toward Mira, and Nikolas came into view a few moments later. There were very few words between them. Really, Mira liked it like that. The less they spoke, the less he would be able to interrupt her later on. She didn’t like it when he did such a thing, but it seemed that he was doing it more and more often. Why he enjoyed aggravating her to such an extent was beyond her, but it kept happening. She couldn’t stop it either. Some people were just insatiable in such an aspect. It did annoy her to no end, but what could be done about it? Not only was he her boss, but he was also the only person keeping her from sleeping in her car. She had been put in a position where she could do nothing. Say one word and it was check mate. Why is it she couldn’t just go over to Darien’s home for the rest of the week? Would it be so bad it she slept there?

A small greeting escapes his lips, but before she can return such a greeting, he is gone again, with her bags this time. Well, she knew it would happen. Everything she thought about this man was most obviously true. He didn’t want her here, there was no way he could. He was doing this because he thought it was a good deed. He wasn’t doing good deeds because he thought it would help someone, no—it would look good for him. The idea made her skin crawl. She was a charity case. Mira grits her teeth, shakes her head, and takes a few steps further inside.

By the time Mira gets settled, Nikolas has come back into the room, addressing her once more with a frivolous question. She didn’t want to answer. Once bitten, twice shy…She didn’t want him interrupting her again. The fact that it was such a question would probably anger her more. She would take the leap though—give this man the benefit of the doubt.

“The ride was quite pleasant, thank you” A small smile presses to her lips. Might as well be nice—Well, be as nice as she could be to a man she hated with almost every fiber of her being. She would pose a question; hopefully he would deem it worthy enough of an answer. Tonight did not seem like a night to annoy her as much as he did, but he had the power, and she knew that he would probably piss her off and get away with it.

“Something smells delightful. Do you cook?”
A simple question, to keep the conversation going and to move it along at the same pace.

ooc- I do hope that you'll know how extremely sorry I am for leaving like I did. Camp got in the way and I had no way of getting online. I hope we can continue this roleplay! I won't be leaving again.
