    Zombie Roleplay (Mira/Alix)

    Post by Faith Wynters on Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:10 pm

    Note: I did not create this setting nor the pictures attached to it. I really liked the idea. (I'm not sure how to exactly credit someone on another website)

    There are two maps, downtown and the suburb area.
    The legend is as follows. ***important, don't skip over this.

    Yellow = Highways
    Black = Roads

    Red - Apartments/ Hotels (Downtown hotels/apartments would be much larger and more high-rise esque than the suburb apartments/hotels)

    Purple - Suburban housing.

    Blue - Commercial (This includes Restaurants, Little shops, etc to your High Rise commercial buildings in downtown.)

    Burgundy - Areas of importance/Interest.

    Green - Forests/parks.
    P = Police, H = Hospital

    NOTE: The pictures that are in the spoiler bars are quite large. You've been warned.

    Suburbs:
    Spoiler:

    Downtown:
    Spoiler:

    The infection has finally visited The City, approximately a week from the initial outbreak in the nation of Diplomunia . People were already trying to flee The City (it is believed atleast 75% of the population left the city), and the highways are believed to be heavily congested. In the panic, The City completely collapsed, with all workers abandoning both the power station and water treament plant. While it is only the first day of infection in The City, the power is still on, but how long will it last? The cleanliness of the water is questionable, and only bound to get worse as the days, or hours progress. The military had set up a refugee center in the cities' airport for those unable to leave, but there has been no word from them for approximately 1-2 days. Gas is scarce, and it is a rare thing to find a gas station that is not completely dry. What will the next days, weeks and months bring for those still inside The City?

    Name: Mira La’Mar
    Age: 19
    Nicknames: House Wife Barbie
    Gender: Female
    Sexuality: Bisexual

    Visual Appearance:
    Spoiler:
    Clothing: Clothing Link--Click Here
    Mira has a very wide variety of clothing styles. One day she may be in the brightest colors out there and the next day she might be a grunge kid. She loves clothes and fashion and is quite the shopaholic.

    Weight: 120 lbs
    Height: 5’5”
    Hair color: Black
    Eye color: Green

    Occupation: Mira is a Semi-Pro fast pitch softball player, along with having a Major in Music and a Minor in creative arts writing at the local University. Her mother and father are temporarily helping her pay for college and she is living in the same room she has been for 19 years.

    Other information: Mira has a very vibrant personality. Her coach in High school called her House Wife Barbie for heaven sakes! On the field she is competitive and rough. She’ll leave players with bruises if they’re not careful. Any man would love to have her as a darling wife! Yeah right! Mira is very opinionated and out there. She won’t trust anyone easily unless they’re on her Semi-Pro team. With the strenuous workout that a soft-ball player endures, Mira’s arms are very strong, along with her legs. Those hundreds of laps around the field finally paid off for her. She can endure very strenuous running for shorter periods of time. Any more than a few football fields and she begins to break a sweat.

    History: Mira grew up in the upper class regions of The City. She was a very bright little girl, and the only child of a cute little couple. Her father, James, was an aspiring chef, and her mother, Daphane, a pediatrician. They had been married only about five years before Mira was born. She grew up in a happy family that allowed her all the creative expression she wanted. When she was about seven, her father started her in T-Ball and that’s when people really saw the aggressiveness of sweet little Mira. She was once seen pushing a little boy off a base just so she could throw the ball at him. (Apparently, tears were shed, and there was a bruise or two) Mira climbed the sports ladder until she reached Middle school and she was selected to be on the girls Fast pitch softball team. She was usually the first one there and the last one to leave. Normally she pitched, and sometimes first, but she really excelled at pitching. She was always first batter and the one called on when needed to get a home run or a triple. Soon, Mira was in high school and playing with the big girls. Rules were more laxed and being rough was the name of the game. Of course there was a bad umpire here and there, but in what part of the country isn’t there a few of those? She was offered a full scholarship to Pace and soon, she went to be semi-pro. Since she lived at home and had books and supplies paid for by mom and dad, she had money to afford her little shopping obsession. She was very bright and invested here and there, keeping money in her pocket all the time. With the obsession of fashion and Softball, she has turned from that sweet little girl to quite the opinion-filled, high on life girl that Mira is today.

    Weapons: Her hot pink aluminum softball bat (It’s pink to humor the coach and the girls on her team), some sort of handgun (she doesn’t know exactly, and she doesn’t care as long as it fires) [14/30], and in her bag she has a few softballs and a Taser that she normally keeps there for the safety on the streets.

    Starting place: Sports Stadium , near the University Campus
    . . .

    It probably wasn’t the best idea for Mira to decide that today was the day for practice. Sure, she didn’t have much to worry about inside the metal and concrete walls that surrounded the practice field, but she did have to worry. When she had gotten here almost three hours ago, only the slow ones followed her. It was easy for her to set up the pitching machine and get to hitting. Of course, her bat made a known ‘crack’ every time she struck the ball, and soon, it drew more of those damn things to her location. There weren't many of them. Really, more meant about five. Not many people had changed yet. Those who had been stupid had, but not many. Most were on the highways that were in the northern part of the city. She wasn't located there, or really anywhere near there. She stayed more near the southern part of the city in her commute from work and school to home and the ball field.

    Most people would call her stupid at times like this. Most people would thing that she was insane for deciding on heading out into the danger zone just for a stupid game. The game wasn’t stupid to her, and she would need the best swing she had once she got out of this damn city. She was going to the pros baby, and she could taste it. So, yes, this was a little stupid, but she was full of idiotic schemes that unfolded in her mind. What was the fun of life if you were stuck inside all day because of these things?

    Mira’s problem wasn’t just going to be getting out of the field. No- a few bodies littered the ground around her. Some of those smarter ones were climbing onto other stupid ones so they could get over the fence and get to her, and the chances of one of them jumping upon her and tearing her to bits was likely if she stood at home plate. She couldn’t see around her as well as if she was at the mound, but she didn’t bother with it. She could hear them coming by the loud screech they emitted when they saw prey. The more that came to her position, the more of a threat they caused as they pushed against the chain length fence. Yes, the poles were based in cement, but that didn’t stop them from trying to rip the chain off. She had to be vigilant if she was going to stay out there, and she always knew where the second exit was if she needed it.

    There were only about ten lining the fence now though. The larger ones just short enough to not be able to look over the fence. If they had, they probably would have been trying to climb over, if their half-decayed arms would allow the weight on them. Mira had killed the ones that came over and now, they posed no threat. She feared that her bat would be dented by the skulls of these things, but no- they seemed to cave in at her will.

    She was still thinking over the same route home she had taken for the last few months of her morning training sessions. Her mother and father were still in the house, fearful of their only child’s life. They knew that Mira could handle herself just fine, but there was always that chance of something happening. What happened if their beloved daughter never came home? They would be left with a constant pain and fear, tugging at them. That wouldn’t happen though, Mira was sure of that.

    She had parked the truck right outside the opposite gate. She had to make her way up the stand wall and down the ramp to the concession area to get to it. None of the infected were over there she didn’t think. Yes, the truck would get her a little bit a way, but the rest of the trek she had to make on foot, the cars lining the streets assured of that. The street that jutted in front of their house was lined with cars. Luckily, however, there was always another way to get to the house which made the walk not as long and strenuous as it could have been. The truck would be parked down the hill from their home, in a grassy area that was hid their truck by a few trees. It was a nice little place, since it was right next to the house. She could leave it there and not have to worry about anything happening to it. It wasn’t to say that the gas in the truck would take her very far after today. It was almost empty and she wasn’t going to dare going to the stations around down. Looters had set up shop in them it seemed like the day the infection began. They had already begun to shoot anyone that got near, unless you had thousands of dollars to pay for the gas. People were taking advantage of the crisis just as much as they were running in fear from it. Mira wasn’t stupid though, and knew that she was never going back to a station to fill up her tank. She had barely gotten out of there bullet-hole free the last time.

    The balls had ran out on the machine and now it was time for her to retrieve them. Afterwards she would make the trek home and wait. What she was waiting for, she didn’t know. These people that thought the government was going to help them were stupid. Why would they risk more people to save a few? No—they were lucky if they all didn’t get a fire bomb dropped on their heads. Mira sighed, and began towards the yellow balls that littered the ground. The chance of her dying because of humans was more likely than a death by zombies. She didn’t want to think about that. She just wanted to get her softball bag, her balls, and leave.

    She could hear the fence shaking behind her as she walked and the moans began to grow louder. Then, another loud shriek emits from the crowd. Mira raises her head, turning to look back at the fence. There’s another one of those smart bastards out there. She continues her jog. If it jumps over the fence, then she’ll turn around and face it. Her jog turns into more of a run as the sounds increase in volume. She doesn’t want to be here when the fence collapses beneath the weight. So, with one more look around the field, Mira turns, and heads back toward the stand wall.

    Alix let's out a small cough as he begins to strafe against the wall that leads to the weapons store within the downtown mall. When he reaches the end of the wall he sees the store with what looks like a a scruffy man inside cleaning one of the many guns. Something told Alix that the man wouldn't give him any ammunition. Alix squinted his eyes as he pulled the knife out of his left boot and began to move forward.

    The light in the hall flickered as he got closer. The man in the store seemed to be whistling some tune, but Alix was focusing to much to care what the tune was. One wrong move and he could be shot on the spot. He started to get closer to the when he heard a very quiet moaning behind him. He knew he could have to hurry. As he came to the door he saw that the room had no windows, and already a plan was forming in his head.

    He quietly opened the door and and stepped just inside the doorway. Alix flicked the lightswitch and the room went dark. He heard the man's air catch in his throat. There was a moment of silence before Alix heard the man get and rush to the door. Alix smiled coldly and rushes after the man. The man sreams and Alix curses under his breath as he sticks his knife in the man's neck. The man's scream is replaced by the sound of blood filling his throat. Already the moan were becoming louder. Alix releases the man who immediately drops to his knees and grabs his neck as a stream of hot steaming blood run down his throat from the knife had been. Knowing he doesn't have Alix Quickly runs inside the room and locks the door. The man that Alix had killed looked up and looked at Alix with fear in his eyes. Alix stares at the man for a second before cursing again. The first of many of the undead creatures that would be coming after him came around with a loud screech. No need for quiet sneaking now. Alix raised the revolver to the zombie's head and pulled the trigger silencing the zombie for good. Quickly Alix rushed toward and grabbe the man that sat before him and drugged him into the room with him. He locked the door behind him and quickly grabbed the first-aid kit and pulled out some thick bandages and pressed to his neck. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry..."

    Getting home wouldn’t be a problem anymore. Really, getting here wasn’t either, but Mira wasn’t thinking about that. She was thinking two steps ahead so she could always make sure she wasn’t one step behind. The sound of metal hitting the ground behind her alerts her to the falling of the fence. She knew it was inevitable, but she hoped it would last a few more days before giving out. She still needed someplace to practice and her back yard wasn’t really the best place to do so. It was so small and cramped…hell; she hadn’t hit a ball back there since she was in T-Ball. A quiet, half-chuckle escapes her lips as she makes quick strides toward the wall. She wasn’t afraid of the undead catching up to her. They would have to find another way to climb up the wall, into the stands, and then walk into the concession area. Had there been a real threat, then she would have been a little more alert. Damn, who was she kidding? This shit scared her more than she was letting on, but that’s just how Mira rode with things nowadays.

    A deep breath fills her lungs as she makes it down the exit ramp, now, she’s more worried about the truck having enough gas than anything running into her. Not everyone was infect. Really, if the news was right, and twenty five percent of people stayed in their homes, then that could mean that probably fifteen percent were still alive. The rest had either been killed, or turned into one of those things. Most of the times, you were killed then turned. It had only been a day. How many people could get infected in a few hours?

    Mira didn’t know the answer to that question. Frankly, she didn’t want to know how many of these things she would have to fight. This town was bigger than most in the surrounding areas. Hell, they were sixth largest in the state. The census said there were probably eighty thousand people here…That was a lot of undead, that was damn sure.

    Her bat is held back, behind her head, in ready position to smash anything that was coming towards her. It seemed none of the infected had bothered to go around, so she was safe. Mira pulls her keys off a small hook inside of her backpack. She knows that the chances of a truck getting stolen are slim and even slimmer without the keys. This truck was a newer model, and had a chip placed inside the key. If they didn’t have the key, they weren’t getting anywhere in the truck.

    Mira is careful about her things, placing the bat and the pistol she was carrying, on the seat, nestled in the folds of her bag. Really, it was more for the people than the zombies, but she wasn’t going to stop for any people. She had been stupid about that last time and almost never made it out with the truck and her things. She hadn’t had to shoot anyone yet, but that creep had it coming. Mira had never used her taser before then, but it was a good thing it worked.

    Alix huffed as the began to knock and bang on the door. They could smell the blood and all the sound he had made didn't help either. Alix had planned on thus being fast and clean, but that plan seems to have gone out the window. "damn, I should've been more careful." Alix looked over at the man unconscious. The vleeding had stopped but he had lost enough blood to kill a small child. He'd be out for awhile. Alix began weigh his choices. He could either go the door and fight whatever comes at him, or stay until the man wakes up and tries to shoot him. It scared him to say but he knew he would have a better chance with the zombies.

    Alix sighed quietly and started to grab as much ammo boxes that would fit in his pocket and grabbed an M16 off of the back wall. As he started to move toward the Dior he noticed a high dollar flashlight in display box. Alix smiled slightly and picked it up gently, as if it were made gold and diamonds. "Every survivor needs one..." he said turning it on and shining it along the far wall. Shrugging, he placed on shoulder in a way that it would not fall off and he has both hands free to kill zombies with.

    Stretching slightly he began to move to the door. From the sounds that were comic from behind it. There seemed to be at least five s
    Or so out there. He let the air flow out of his lungs and mouth for a second before ramming the door forward and smashing into two or three s
    Zombies but he didn't stop to take a toll. He quickly raised the gun and began to fire a few shot missed but his accuracy increased the more he shot the gun. He had cleared the hallway enough to where he could get throughin a matter of seconds. He smiled to himself as he marveled the gun in his hands. So much effciant then his pistol. Coming back to his senses he start sprinting down the hall. At the end of the hall he repeated the process of crouching and peeking around the corner. The flickering of the floresent light behind only added to frightfulness that was filling Alix. He held his breath as he scanned the next hallway. He saw nothing and was suspicious, surely the noise had attracted more than that. After a moment or so he stood and began to sprint down the next few hallways.

    As he neared the entrance began to slow down. He still had plenty of breath and hadn't broken a sweat. Since the start of the outbreak he has been running.
