Firstly, if I need to move this someplace else I will...

Now... This will be where we think over everything I just didint want to litter up the CBOX with logistical things. SOOZ here we go. Remember to be respectful of all ideas because they are all important.

When I first thought of the role play I thought of places like London, Toronto, New York, San Francisco. Ultimately though, I don't care what city we pick, so long as we establish which city it is.

I think New York. Might be cliche, but it's a city that I - as somebody outside America - know more about than New Orleans. Not much, but enough to blag it.

I've never been to the US before so any city is fine with me, I won't know anything about whatever is chosen

Alright, based on votes, looks like we're in New York. Would've preferred a change in climate from where I currently live, but the voice of the many drowns out the voice of the few.

Alright, all questions seem to be satisfied for now. Shall we continue?

Sorry, Zalgo, but as unofficial GM I need to know at least a little about the area we're playing in. I know it kinda sucks for people wanting variety, but there's no reason the RP has to stay in New York. But yes, I shall post a reply in the next day or so. A little busy right now, but I'll get one out.

On an unrelated note, AMX is taking ages to load every page. Is this a site problem, or an issue with my computer?

It's mostly alright on my computer. Maybe, like, 2-3 seconds slower than usual, but that's within acceptable range.

While I am very much for New York, it could be a city LIKE new York that doesn't exist in like real life or something. Also, Amx is loading fine for me.

I was mostly asking so I could know what state we were in and check to see if some nicknames band members have would work. Can't really call someone by their home state's name if you're in that state.

Alright, so I will post my post up soon, but I have a question. How does money work in the Underground? We may have already answered this question and if we have, I apologize, I do not remember and need an update. Is it the same money the human world uses or is it different (sort of like how wizards in harry potter have Galleons and stuff)?

I'd think money works the same as in the usual world, but that the market stalls would work on a barter system as well. The way a Goblin Market usually works in the thing I took them from is they trade memories, emotions, trinkets, etc. for goods and services. I think that might be too extreme for this, but I'd like the trading idea to be in effect alongside traditional money, if that's alright. Like a Swap-Shop or a Flea Market.

Oh, well, I think American dollars should be about right. We're in the U.S. after all.

Question from me, what's the consensus on teleportation magic? Like, small-scale, no longer than... Say, quarter-mile maximum? Is it considered Universal or excluded to one group of Mages or banned altogether?

I think that straight up teleportation would be banned. Mages can create portals to other locations that they've either seen or been to, but it takes a bit of time. For the moment, I can't see anywhere that teleportation in the strictest sense of the word would slot in.

This is just my opinion, though. If the majority are fine with it, I will bow to the majority. :-)

I'm not a fan of teleportation for this roleplay.

Murdoch, please edit your posts so there is only one reply. You can't post one after the other unless separated by 24 hours. Thank you

I'm mostly asking for one of my bandmates. Portals seem too conspicuous, and she's more of a sneak-up-on-Zalgo-by-way-of-randomly-appearing-behind-him-to-surprise-him-in-public person than a "HEY, GUYS, I'M HERE WITH A BIG-ASS PORTAL! LET'S PARTY!" person. The majority of voters thus far has decided no on teleportation, so I'll revise a bit.

Also, one more thing, what of transmutation a la changing one thing into something else, i.e. a cello into a bass guitar, a microphone with stand into a keyboard piano, etc.? It'd mostly be used for instruments, as I've noted here, and it can't be ridiculous. Like, no taking a single sheet of paper and turning it into a car or taking a bottle of shampoo and turning it into a broadsword.

I think the limitation is that you can't create or destroy matter, so the resultant material would have to have the same cumulative matter as the original object. So if you made it smaller, it would become denser, and if you made it bigger it would become less dense. The more complicated transmutations would also obviously take a lot more time; carbon to diamonds would be easier than, say, lead to gold. I would also imagine that said transmutation would have a time limit.

Alright, that I can work with.

I'm gonna revise my next reply, then. Take the teleportation out, figure some other way to work it.
