    Locked General Rules

Post by Admin on Mon Oct 04, 2010 11:53 pm

General Forum and Forum Posting Rules:

Remain respectful in all posts, PMs, or other forum communications.

All posts must be free of illegal or distasteful content, which includes pornography and nudity, bigotry, posting of copyrighted material, spamming the forum, bumping threads, or flaming/trolling.

No advertisements may be posted, including the use of signature links for advertising.

Recruitment for external projects, other sites, or writing services are also considered prohibited advertising. Accounts created for advertising purposes will be permanently banned.

School assignments, contest submissions, or other work that is intended to reflect your individual effort must be clearly identified as such. We will not do your work for you, and assistance will be limited.

Thread bumping is not allowed (appending posts to bring a thread to the top or to get it more attention).

All posts must be in English. Hidden (invisible) text is prohibited.

This is a general forum. Occasional use of common net abbreviations is tolerated, but excessive use of netspeak is discouraged.

Please do not spread stories and articles across multiple threads, including blog threads. If a story won't fit in the initial post, subsequent pieces should be posted as repiles to the original post.

Offsite links should be kept to a minimum. If used, they should be relevant to the discussion, non-trivial, and should be accompanied by sufficient explanation that a reader can choose not to follow the link. You are responsible for ensuring that the linked content is safe and complies with this site's content rules. Offsite links may be removed without notice, as may posts with no content other than a link.

Swearing is allowed when used conservatively and not directed at any member. Racial slurs or hate speech are prohibited. If you do feel the need to swear, we suggest you use a spoiler bar.
    Code:
[spoiler] your text or picture here[/spoiler]

If you happen to discover a member's real name, whether it is included in their user name or not, and whether they told you their real name or not, you are NOT allowed to use in on the site, nor to address them by that name UNLESS they have given you FULL consent to use it. Respect other user's privacy!

If you have any questions or concerns, PM "Admin", "Jade Hawk", and any moderator in charge of your request. Please keep all Anonymatrix-related discussions out of the posting threads and the Chatbox.

All rules apply throughout the site, PMs included.

    -----------

    Account Information:

Users may only have one account unless requested and approved by the forum administration. This rule is still in effect if the previous account has been terminated. If a member is suspected of having a second account, the second account may be deleted, with no prior warning.

Due to recent events and disregards of the rule above, there will only be three accounts allowed to be activated per IP address unless FULL permission from Jade Hawk BEFORE registration.

If a user registers with a shared IP (for example, siblings), you MUST notify Jade Hawk before registration.

We will never collect personal information such as street name or address.

Never give out anyone's personal information, including real names, street addresses, telephone numbers, or any for of personal contact information.

Please do not hide your online status. That is for the Admin ONLY!

    Posting Copyrighted Material/Copyright Infringement:

Posting material that is not yours and claiming it as your own is considered copyright infringement. No warning will be given if such a situation arises. You will be banned permanently.

Small sections of copyrighted material may be posted when you cite the original author or when it is used with the authors permission.

    ------------

    Posting Stories and Poems:

You must own the copyright to all work claimed your own.

Pieces may not contain graphic descriptions of rape or incest. Erotica writing is also not permitted.

Language and violence are permitted as long as they are not used excessively.

Enclosures, links, and images are not acceptable. The work to be reviewed, and all critiques, must be posted directly, without any supplementary materials.

By posting, you are granting limited use. Specifically, retention or removal of that piece of writing from the site is solely at the discretion of the site administration team, and members may quote the submission in full or in part for the purpose of critique within that thread.

    -----------

    Avatars:

Avatars may not contain pornographic images.

They can be up to 100 x 100 pixels.

    -----------

    Signature:

Links for other websites, commercial, or promotional purposes are prohibited.

Links may be removed without notice if deemed inappropriate in any way

Please limit signature real estate. "Billboard" signatures may be edited or removed without notice.

Signatures may also not contain text with sexual connotations, racial slurs, vulgarity, or content intended to upset a specific member.

Posting links to other sites in your signature is also not allowed, nor is any form of advertising. However, posting a link to a character biography posted on Anonymatrix IS allowed, as well as posting a link to any post on Anonymatrix. However, harassment of other users to view, reply, or advertise said posts is forbidden.

    -----------

    Spamming:

Spamming is not tolerated anywhere on Anonymatrix, and any spamming will result in temporary banishment from the Chatbox. If spamming continues on posts, the posts shall be deleted. Any additional rule breaking, and your account shall be temporarily banned. Spamming is clearly stated in the Anonymatrix rules, and claiming ignorance of these rules shall not be tolerated. Administrators are permitted to clear the chat during valid times.

You ARE allowed to "claim comment virginity" on posts for fun, but are not allowed to post "CV claimed" and nothing else, or I will consider that as spam and shall be deleted and you shall be given a warning. You must offer constructive feedback to any posts you reply to, and you may state that you "claim the comment virginity" in your reply, as long as you actually take the time and effort to read what is posted, and give a reasonable reply. Fighting over "comment virginity" is not allowed. This also results in spam, and your post shall be deleted and you shall be given a warning.

Please do not comment with a single word or not more than an emoticon (or set of emoticons). This will be considered spam, and your post shall be deleted and you shall be given a warning. Please post an ENTIRE sentence, or if need-be, edit your previous post. To aid in this rule, a word count has been added and your post will not send unless you type a minimum of 4 words (each at least 2 letters long). This is an automated system. Moderators shall be looking on their threads for spam.

Do not post more than one time in a row unless separated by at LEAST a full 24 hours. Use the edit button to add any additional information to your previous post if you need. Any duplicate posts or posts not separated with a time of at least 24 hours may be removed without notice and the poster with be given a warning or reminder.

    -----------

    Images:

Posting Images - Images may be posted in threads, profiles and so on when they are relevant and don't contain pornographic materials or excessive language.

ALL images, gifs, etc. MUST be contained in spoilers.
    Code:
    [spoiler]your text or image here][/spoiler]

Breaking of any of these rules is a breech of your agreement. We reserve the right to ban or terminate any user at any time for any reason. Penalties will vary based on the severity of the situation.

These rules are subject to change at any time without warning

Please sign THIS PAGE HERE to prove you have read and understood these rules.
